3 N.C.-based teams claim spots in NCAA tournament

Three North Carolina-based schools are headed to the NCAA tournament. North Carolina drew a Number One seed for a record 11th time and joined Duke and Davidson in the field of 65 teams.

North Carolina's depth proved to be too much for North Carolina State's determination. The eighth-ranked Tar Heels beat their Tobacco Road rivals 89-to-80 for their first Atlantic Coast Conference title since 1998.
