Boil Water Advisory scheduled for Lumina Avenue

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Public Utility Authority scheduled a precautionary boil water advisory for part of South Lumina Avenue in Wrightsville Beach.

Starting at 11 p.m. on Monday, crews will be replacing meters and broken valves in the water distribution system.

While the work is going on, customers may experience temporary loss of water pressure.

CFPUA says about 85 customers will be under a precautionary boil water advisory at the following addresses:

  • The 300, 400, and 500 blocks of South Lumina Avenue
  • 601 through 615 S. Lumina Avenue
  • The 300, 400, and 500 blocks of Waynick Boulevard
  • 275 Waynick Boulevard

Customers are asked to boil their water for one minute then allow it to cool prior to consumption. People do not need to boil water prior to using it for showering or bathing.
