City adopting 10-year plan to end homelessness

Several major cities already use what's called a "ten-year plan" to end chronic homelessness. Now Wilmington is doing the same thing. A committee appointed by Mayor Bill Saffo has come up with a first draft of the plan. It calls for extending what is currently taking place in the City.

Mark Ackerman is actually under electronic house arrest at his parents' home in the gated community of Landfall. Ackerman is charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Dog fighting is local problem

WPD looking for shooting suspect

Wilmington Police are looking for a shooting suspect. The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of 30th Street. Tyrone Tyson of Wilmington was shot in the thigh by a man who claimed Tyson took his money.
