Three sewage spills in the past week have Bradley Creek area residents speaking out. Crews caused the spills last week while working to repair the lining of the sewage pipe that runs through the Wrightsville Green community. That project is now on hold while county engineers, consultants, and contractors come up with a plan to prevent another spill from happening while repair projects are going on.
The federal government is giving some much needed money to Carolina Beach for the inlet dredging project. Thursday the US House, Energy and Water appropriations committee granted $1.2 million for Carolina Beach inlet dredging. It's enough to cover the full cost of the project.
A group of Wilmington Police officers spent the morning doing something a little different. They spent hours clearing over-grown brush out of a lot in the 600 block of McRae Street.
