Morning/Noon Meteorologist/Co-Anchor – 456

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NECESSARY: WWAY, the ABC, CBS and CW affiliate in beautiful coastal North Carolina has an immediate opening for a Meteorologist/Co-Anchor for our morning and noon newscasts. These shows are both personality and content driven, and we’re looking for someone to help us continue the great on-air chemistry we have among our anchors.

Primary responsibilities include producing a forecast-driven weathercast, developing new ways to showcase our WSI TruVu Max system and delivering the information on-air in a conversational and easy-to-understand style. You’ll also need the ability to stay on top of developing/severe weather without always having direct supervision. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in meteorology plus at least one year of on-air experience are a must. THIS JOB IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION. WSI TruVu Max, ENPS and Edius experience are a plus.

We have all the major weather food groups here in southeastern North Carolina: Hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, sunny summer afternoons and sometimes even a little snow or even and ice storm. So here, forecasting is fun!

If you want to live, work and play at the beach, this is the job for you! You must possess a valid and clean driver’s license.
