49th Annual Waccamaw Siouan Pow Wow
October 18 @ 6:00pm - 10:00pm
An event every day that begins at 11:00am, repeating until October 19, 2019
The Waccamaw Siouan Pow Wow is a two-day event, with over 5,000 visitors and spectators from across the United States in attendance. During the first half of day one over 500 area students attend workshops and learn of the local Native American culture. The remaining portion of the day kicks off the two-day event, with Native American dancing and drumming. Day two begins with a grand parade at 11AM, recognizing tribal and local royalty from the region. At noon, the event kicks off the all-day finale of Native American dancing, drumming and shopping with Native American traders. Come celebrate with us during this two-day event and taste the traditional foods of our ancestors and listen to the sounds of the vibrant culture.
