February 19 @ 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Free

Join the NC Maritime Museum as we Welcome Dr. Chris E. Fonvielle, Jr. for his dynamic lecture on a local hero: William Benjamin Gould. A master mason from Wilmington, Gould, used the Cape Fear River as a maritime underground railroad to escape to the North Atlantic Blockading Squadron to join the US Navy. Fonvielle will share the life and legacy of one of the Lower Cape Fear’s most interesting people during the American Civil War.
The event is free, but register early as seats fill quickly.
