It was another match up between Whiteville and West Columbus that fans will not soon forget. The Wolfpack got a steal leading to the go-ahead layup with .9 seconds left to go to take down the Vikings. That performance earned Whiteville the Full Court Press Team of the Week honor.

With only a few weeks left in the high school basketball season, the Cape Fear Academy girl's basketball team has won our Full Court Press Team of the Week with their resiliency.

The Laney boys basketball team started conference play with a 1-3 record. Instead of hanging their heads, they changed their mentality to focusing on getting into the state playoffs. That mentality changed must have worked, the Buccaneers are riding a six game winning streak as our Full Court Press Team of the Week. 

Full Court Press Team of the Week: West Brunswick Boys Basketball

The West Brunswick boys basketball team started the year with a 3-2 record, but since that point the Trojans are 10-2. The recent hot streak has earned West Brunswick the Full Court Press Team of the Week award. 

Full Court Press Team of the Week: Ashley Girls Basketball

The Ashley High School girls basketball team went through a rough stretch during the month of December, but they have responded by winning their past five games by at least 20 points. Those performances have earned the Screamin' Eagles the Full Court Press Team of the Week award.

Full Court Press Team of the Week: New Hanover Boys Basketball

The New Hanover boys' basketball team started the season 2-3, but since that point, they haven't lost a single game. That makes the Wildcats this week's Full Court Press Team of the Week.

Full Court Press Team of the Week: Laney Girls Basketball

For the second time in three years the Laney girls basketball team has started the season 7-0. Last Friday night the Buccaneers went on the road and beat (6-1) Topsail holding the Pirates to a season low of 22 points. That performance earned Laney the Full Court Press Team of the Week. 

Full Court Press Team of the Week: Pender Boys Basketball

It was a win that was nearly three years in the making. The Pender boys basketball team knocked off Laney last Friday night for their first win over the Buccaneers since 2016. That win earned the Patriots this weeks Full Court Press Team of the Week.
