City presents 10-year plan to end homelessness

The City of Wilmington presented its ten-year plan Wednesday night to end chronic homelessness.

The Good Shepherd Ministries in downtown Wilmington says it's the only homeless shelter in the county that stays open during the day.

City adopting 10-year plan to end homelessness

Several major cities already use what's called a "ten-year plan" to end chronic homelessness. Now Wilmington is doing the same thing. A committee appointed by Mayor Bill Saffo has come up with a first draft of the plan. It calls for extending what is currently taking place in the City.
