Topsail wins 3-A baseball state championship

videoTopsail High held off a late rally from Piedmont High to capture the 3-A baseball state championship on Saturday. Topsail pitcher Trent Hansley was named the MVP of the championship series.

South Columbus High's head football coach sent WWAY a lengthy response on Monday regarding his opinion on how the North Carolina High School Athletic Association handled a recent player eligibility ruling. The NCHSAA ruled in favor of Southern Vance over South Columbus.
