videoPat Paterson enlisted in the Army Air Corps, now known as the U.S. Air Force, in 1942. His plane was shot down by enemy fire while flying on a mission to Germany. He became a prisoner of war and was held in a German prison camp for 10 months.

Bob Page was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne and served in the military for 33 years. He had the opportunity to spend time with other local veterans at a get-together.
