Sloop Point, Cerro Gordo, and Ocean Isle Beach Fire Departments get federal funds

U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that the Sloop Point VFD, Cerro Gordo VFR and Ocean Isle Beach Fire Department have received federal funds for operations and safety improvements. Sloop Point will receive $122,669 – Cerro Gordo will receive $117,905 – and Ocean Isle Beach will receive $66,500

Congressman McIntyre stated, “Our fire departments are on the front lines in protecting our citizens and communities. These federal funds will help the Sloop Point, Cerro Gordo, and Ocean Isle Beach fire departments in continuing to do their jobs! Congratulations to all for securing these funds!”

The United States Department of Homeland Security has awarded these congressionally appropriated funds through its firefighters assistance program.
