POSSIBLE DELAYS ON I-77 IN VIRGINIA NEAR THE WEST VIRGINIA STATE LINE
An extensive paving project in West Virginia on I-77 North and South near the Virginia border may cause major traffic delays near the East River Mountain Tunnel. Significant delays are expected for weekend traffic throughout the summer months.

Road closed with Detour: Motorists who travel on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge (US 74/76/421) over the Northeast Cape Fear River in New Hanover County need to be aware of scheduled bridge closures beginning Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 9:00 PM thru July 6, 2018 at 5:00 AM. No Closures will occur on July 3 or 4 due to HOLIDAY.

Road closed with Detour. Motorist who travel on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge (US 74/76/421) over the Northeast Cape Fear River in New Hanover County need to be aware of scheduled bridge closures. The North Carolina Department of Transportation will have nightly road closures in both directions on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge to perform electrical and mechanical repairs. Beginning September 10, 2018 thru April 3, 2019.

Beginning Tuesday, June 12, 2017 North Kerr Avenue will be closed between Market St and Birchwood Avenue until the repair is completed. The North Carolina Department of Transportation is repairing a sewer line in the area. Once repair is completed the road will be opened back to traffic.
