ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE GOOD OLE BOYS PUT OUT OF BRUNSWICK COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT.IT IS AMAZING THAT MR. HOLDEN COULD RECORD HIS LIFE LONG FRIEND ON TAPES AND SAY HE WAS COMING TO THE JOB DRUNK AND DRIVING DRUNK,WHEN HE WAS COMMITING THE SAME CRIMES HIMSELF YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN YOU WERE GONNA GET CAUGHT SOON.TO KNOW YOU WENT TO WORK SATURDAY NIGHT DRUNK AND PROBABLY EVEN DROVE YOURSELF THERE TO.SHAME SHAME SHAME.I HOPE THEY PUT ALL OF THIS ON THE NEWS STATIONS JUST LIKE THEY DID RONALD,AND YOU THOUGHT THAT WAS FUNNY.IT ISN'T SO FUNNY WHEN THE SHOE IS ON THE OTHER FOOT IS IT.JUST BECAUSE YOU TOOK THE DRUG TEST AT THE SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT,BUT YET DISAPPEARED BEFORE THEY COULD GIVE YOU THE BREATHALIZER THE OTHER DAY YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD FOOLED PEOPLE. BUT EVERYONE KNOWED IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE YOU GOT CAUGHT . AND THIS SATURDAY NIGHT YOU PROVED YOURSELF WHEN YOU CAME TO WORK DRUNK AND PROBABLY EVEN DROVE YOURSELF THERE ALSO,BESIDES BEING MEAN TO SOME OF THE OTHER WORKERS UP THERE.YOU DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH POWER TO THINK YOU COULD GET BY WITH DOING THAT.NOW THAT YOU WILL HAVE A LONG VACATION,I HOPE THAT YOU THINK LONG AND HARD ON HOW YOU SET YOUR LIFE LONG FRIEND UP AND WAS DOING THE SAME THING YOURSELF.JUST REMEMBER THAT A BIRD NEVER GOES SO HIGH UP THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE TO COME DOWN FOR WATER SOMETIME,DON'T YOU WISH YOU WERE LIKE THAT BIRD DRINKING WATER EVERYDAY INSTEAD OF ALCOHOL EVERYDAY.NOW YOU WILL HAVE ALOT OF DAYS TO THINK OF HOW YOUR LIFE LONG FRIEND GOT YOU THAT JOB BUT HE DIDN'T SET YOU UP,YOU SET YOUR OWN SELF UP..LETS ALL GIVE CAPTAIN HOLDEN AROUND OF CHEERS FOR CLEANING UP ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE " GOOD OLE BOYS "...........

Only two counties presently have Sheriffs either in or on the way to jail. The writer plainly states the other 98 are clean! Not all 100! Duh!

Brunswick Co along w/ Rex Gore have way too many cases of suicide here! Is calling a homicide a suicide, not saving tax payers money? Ronald and "His Cronnies" have in fact, botched numerous homicide cases in this county and DA Rex Gore takes the simple way out and helps "cover it all up" by calling them suicides. I only pray that these cases are brought to the light since Ronald's publicity is other than honorable!!!I sure hope in his plea agreement(s), he SANG THE BLUES!

The Buff family did not waste tax dollars - the STATE OF NC (The Attorney General's Office, to be specific) wasted the tax dollars, fighting us - and they lost. Losers just like you. BIG FAT "ZEROES"!!! Let me help you make the conncection, since you seem to need to be educated on THE TRUTH: The NC Attorney General is the highest prosecuting body of the State, which is under the Govenor. Our Local (Brunswick County) DA's office is also an extension of that body. Now connect the dots. Any of them have ties to Bald Head? Believe she committed suicide all you want and continue to be the loser that you are. The truth is she was murdered. WE LIVE WITH THAT INJUSTICE EVERY DAY! May God Bless all the good-hearted men and women in uniform who serve and give their lives daily for us. Davina was one of them. Personally, I don't think she is quite at peace yet - she is still doing her job. What comes around goes around. Maybe ole Rex is next. . . or better yet, the other guy.

The BCSD and SBI had already written my sister's death off as a suicide before any member set foot on Bald Head Island Oct.22 1999. THAT is a fact! NO, the SBI blamed BHI Police Dept, they in turn blamed Brunswick County Sheriff Dept. and they placed blame on the SBI!!! All involved had to keep everyone HAPPY on BHI! After all, there are sooo many involved with my sister's injustice that have ties(IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE)with Bald Head Island!!! READ the book "OUT WITH THREE:The Murder and Betrayal of Bald Head Island Police Officer Davina Buff Jones" and it will help explain why Ronald Hewett and so many other people with authority in this STATE should be FACING JAIL TIME!!!*************************

Ronald Hewett and Rex Gore would have you believe it was suicide but, the official ruling on her death is not suicide but that she was "Killed" on the job. Even after this ruling Gore states he sees no reason to re-open the case and that his mind has not changed. As far as bringing in the SBI or any other agency for that matter, the crime scene was hosed down by the BHI fire department. So much for the preservation of evidence! Her body however was able to be examined and in the end the ruling that stands is, the wounds could not have been self inflicted. There is some other evidence that remained making one question suicide. Like a to do list with plans for later that day. Most people that are going to kill themselves don't have a to do list for times after the self inflicted death. But, the real stickler goes back to her wounds not being such as she would have been able to do it. That one thing stands alone and screams the fact, someone else pulled the trigger on the weapon and fired a fatal shot into her head. While the shoddy police work and the shoddy work by the DA has made it to where we will probably never know who did it, be sure to know the fact is, Officer Jones was murdered while she was on a tour of duty at BHI. Give her family at least that little bit of acknowledgement. They had to fight to get that truth out.

Where have you been? Local, state and federal hearings ruled that she did NOT commit suicide. It was in all the papers. Get informed, please.
