Governor Perdue schedules Port City visit

During her gubernatorial campaign, Bev Perdue said one of her first stops as governor would be Wilmington. It's been a few months, but that visit is finally scheduled. The governor will lead a town hall meeting on improving education and workforce development in North Carolina. Perdue will be joined by North Carolina Community College President Scott Ralls and State Board of Education CEO Bill Harrison. That town hall meeting is open to the public on Wednesday, April 1, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the BB&T Auditorium on Cape Fear Community College's North Campus.

big question?

But the big question is will she drive, err rather be driven down here or will she fly in?

She'll fly into Wilmington

She'll fly into Wilmington on a private plane so no one can see her smoking a cigarette on the way here...cigarettes she gets at a discount (LOL)

just do us ALL a favor and stay out of our county!

An hour, Stay in Raliegh, get something done, 1 hour is an insult!

Gov Perdue Visit

While she is here, someone needs to ask her why some of that government money being accepted by NC is not being used on our infrastructure, such as on the Memorial Bridge. We need jobs in something besides education, and some new industry.

Golly Gee

a whole hour; a whole hour. It will take longer than that to travel to Wilmington. One can only guess the cost associated with the travel. Wait a minute; April 1; is this an April Fool's joke?

our illustrious Governor will attend the Wilmington Tea Party.
