All revved up about Rims on the River

It was hot rods as far as the eye could see in downtown Wilmington Saturday.

The fifth annual Rims on the River event rolled into town. Onlookers were able to view vintage cars and motorcycles dating back to 1980 and earlier.

It wasn't just local car owners who participated. People came from all over the state to show off their unique rides.

"We came down as a car club from Elizabethtown," Wayne Dove said. "We've got 33 members in our club and eleven of us came down here today. We had a meeting this past Thursday night, and a bunch of us decided to come down and help support Wilmington."

Event organizers tell us about 400 vehicles entered the show.

Rims on the River

I agree the show did rock! I spent 4hours downtown just trying to see it all. A beautiful day for the show.

Old Cars

That show rocked! Of course, I am old and would like old cars- but I saw people of all ages enjoying the day.
