WILMINGTON, NC (GREATER WILMINGTON BUSINESS JOURNAL) - Later this month, Wilmington will welcome a new ship to its downtown port - reports the Greater Wilmington Business Journal. Only this ship will not sail into town under a military banner, rather the Arctic Sunrise comes to town on a Greenpeace mission.

The ship is docking in Wilmington as part of its Coal Free Future Tour and will dock at 88 N. Water St. from Friday Jan. 21 to Sunday Jan. 23. Free tours of the ship will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. “It’s really nice to not have a warship coming into port,” said Pat Delair, who is involved with organizing the event.

OH GREAT

MORE NUT jobs in the city this weekend...

Greenpeace

These people have the radical agenda of resisting all industry, whether environmentally friendly or not. They operate under the name of Green Peace, but are actually activists with sometimes violent behavior.

Yeah... Save the Sea

Yeah... Save the Sea Turtles! They taste good.

You have something against warships?

You know....the warships that protect you while you sleep safe and warm every night....in a house that is likely heated by electricity obtained by burning coal...?

BTW, I'd suggest that all you anti-coal enviroloons hold your breath until we achieve that "coal-free future. Every pound of coal that Massey, CONSOL, and Peabody mine is either grabbed immediately by a domestic utility or gets shipped to China. They have no excess coal lying around due to dropping demand.

Isn't it amazing? The United States has about two-hundred years worth of coal and the enviroloons want to make sure we can't use it. Is there any doubt when Neal Boortz claims thay are nothing but old, anti-American Communists who fled to the environmental movement when the Soviet Union collapsed?

I would much prefer a

I would much prefer a coal-fired plant rather than this albatross in Southport spewing radioactivity all over the countryside. Coal-fired plants don't need evacuation sirens.

You couldn't have made a more ignorant statement!

"...this albatross in Southport spewing radioactivity all over the countryside."

Now, I knew we still had folks living in trailers, but I thought all of the cave-dwellers moved out centuries ago. I was wrong and proven so by your so uninformed, uneducated, rediculously stupid comment.

I suppose you can see those radioactive electrons dripping from your wall sockets too, right? Just make sure your foil hat is tilted to an Azimuth of 290, with a west offset bias of 11 degrees, 14 minutes. Everything will be alright...
