FIRST ON 3: 'Teen Spirit' to hold open casting call Saturday


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- One of the new movie productions in town is holding a casting call this weekend.

The ABC Family original movie "Teen Spirit" is looking for young adults who can pass for all types of teenagers popular kids, jocks, nerds, EMO, goth, hipsters, etc. to fill the student body of an "All-American stereotypical high school." Producers are also looking for background actors of all ages to play parents, senior citizens, restaurant patrons, etc.

Please bring a smiling photo of yourself, preferably a 3"x5" print. If you don't have one, they will happily take one for you at no charge.

The casting call is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It's at the Community Arts Center at 2nd and Orange Streets in downtown Wilmington.

Filming for the movie begins later this month.
