TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) - The district attorney's office subpoenaed video from us today they claim shows an insurance agent at Allen "Frog" Strickland's house the day after it caught on fire.
Strickland was charged with burning his own house down in order to collect insurance money. Former senator R.C. Soles bought him the house. Strickland's attorney last week claimed Frog never knew he had insurance on his house.
The evidence never came up in court today due to the discovery of an interview Tabor City Police had with Strickland a day after the fire. The judge was alerted to the interview today and called for a mistrial since neither side knew that it existed.
