B.J. Wright given options on bond

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) -- A Columbus County judge has given a troubled teen with ties to former Sen. R.C. Soles a couple of options to get out of jail.

The District Attorney's Office says the judge decided on the options for B.J. Wright during a bond reduction hearing late Wednesday afternoon.

A judge had set Wright's bond at $1 million earlier this year after he allegedly vandalized Soles's home near Tabor City then went on the run before being caught in South Carolina. The bond also included a stipulation that whomever puts up bond money must appear in court to explain why they are paying to get Wright out of jail. That option remains on the table, but there's also a cheaper alternative.

Wright's bond could be lowered to $750,000, but Wright would be required to wear a GPS monitoring device. Whomever posts the bond must still appear in court to explain the move.

WWAY said to his friend,"If BJ marches by land or sea tonight, Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch of the North Church tower as a signal light,--one if by land, and two if by sea; and Ramon Herrera on the opposite shore will be, ready to ride and spread the alarm, Through every Tabor village and farm, For the country folk to be up and to arm.

Soles is a sorry old soul..................

Obviously, I am no fan of the former (and now-finally disgraced) senator.

What is it with these people who seem to think they will live forever?

I have news for them! We all die sooner or later. Whether you believe in the Bible or not: Someday-

You will face a judge that can not be bought.
