Judge sets $500,000 bond for Duke lacrosse accuser

DURHAM, NC (AP) -- A judge has set a $500,000 bond for Duke lacrosse accuser Crystal Mangum in her first-degree murder case.

Police say Mangum stabbed her boyfriend, 46-year-old Reginald Daye, during an argument last month. He died in a Durham hospital 10 days later.

A call to Mangum's lawyer Wednesday was not immediately returned.

The 32-year-old Mangum falsely accused members of the Duke University lacrosse team of rape in 2006, and the district attorney who championed her case was later disbarred.

Last year, Mangum was convicted on misdemeanor charges after setting a fire that nearly torched her home during an argument with a different boyfriend.
