LELAND, NC (WWAY) -- Leland residents now have a more comfortable library to do their reading and computer work.
The town's library closed in November for renovations. It had a soft reopening this morning.
The additions doubled the square footage of and added a larger seating area, more restrooms in the childrens book room and a larger break room for library staff.
"Due to the growth of this area in the past few years, it's much needed for this area, because we've outgrown the existing facility," library branch manager Lisa Milligan said.
Although the library is open for visitors, a grand opening is in the works later this month, which will include local dignitaries.
