CW slots 'One Tree Hill' as mid-season replacement

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington-based "One Tree Hill" will return for a ninth season, but you'll have to wait a while to see new episodes.

The CW released its fall lineup Thursday morning, and OTH was not on it. Instead, the drama shot in and around Wilmington has been slotted as a mid-season replacement. The stars of the show announced earlier this week that the network had ordered 13 more episodes, which is half a season.

Meanwhile "Hart of Dixie," which shot its pilot in Wilmington and Southport, is on the CW's fall lineup. The medical drama set in a rural Alabama town will air Mondays at 9 p.m. No word on whether the show will return to the area to shoot its season.
