Three family members die in Lincolnton fire

LINCOLNTON, NC (AP) -- Three people have been killed in a fire
at a mobile home near Lincolnton.

Officials say the fire started shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday.

Officials say 47-year-old Todd Cook, his 41-year-old wife Angela
and 67-year-old Bobby Gene Cook died in the fire.

Eighteen-year-old Storm Cook escaped by jumping from a bedroom
window.

Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Lookadoo tried to get
into the back door of the home, but was pushed back by the fire.

Sheriff's Chief Investigator Tim Johnson said the fire could
have started from an electrical short. There were no signs of foul
play.

The bodies have been sent to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem
for autopsies.
