WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Habitat for Humanity has built more than 400,000 houses around the world and more than 100 of those houses were right here in Wilmington.
Folks from around the Cape Fear came together for breakfast this morning to hear more about how the charity has affected real families.
The Trant family was homeless a year ago, and this father's day Habitat will have helped them own a home.
"It was a huge impact," Marvin Trant said. "The volunteers are great, and having our house built by them has been a blessing. So it's awesome. We're getting ready to have our own house in the next month."
The Trants could not be more grateful to the volunteers that helped make their dream come true.
