WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- The town of Wrightsville Beach is letting residents and visitors get a taste of produce and other goods from around coastal North Carolina.
The town's farmers market is located just across the Wrightsville Beach Dridge on Old Causeway Road across from the Post Office. It is open every Monday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It continues until Labor Day.
You can find many different goods at the market from fresh vegetables to rum cakes.
"We do have farmers and producers that do their own thing," market manager Angela Cannon said. "Everyone you can walk up to a farmer. You can ask them about the product they're producing and how they have done it, and you get the answer straight from the farmer's mouth."
The farmers market is very strict and inspects all the vendors to make sure only the highest quality products are sold.
