RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) -- Despite the override of the veto of the state budget, Gov. Bev Perdue is doing better among voters.
A poll by Public Policy Polling finds 36 percent of North Carolina voters approve of the job Perdue is doing, while 47 percent disapprove. This is Perdue's highest approval rating in the past six months.
Another poll showed 42 percent said they had more faith in Gov. Perdue leading the state. That's compared to 40 percent who said they trusted legislative leaders. Eighteen percent were not sure.
