Suspect in jail, other wanted for trying to rob pizza joint

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A Shallotte man is in jail for the armed robbery of a Brunswick County pizza parlor last month, but investigators are still looking for another man in the crime.

Sheriff's deputies charged 20-year-old Avery Demond Green with Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault on a Female at Christopher's Pizza at 9869 Ocean Highway in Carolina Shores May 15.

Investigators say Green worked at the restaurant at the time of the robbery. They are also looking for Tysean Jamar Pigott (right) in connection with the crime.

Green is in jail under $100,000 secured bond.

Anyone with information about Pigott should contact the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office at (910) 253-2777 and ask for Det. Mike Murray.
