NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early-morning armed robbery. Sheriff's spokesman Cpl. Jerry Brewer said it happened around 1 a.m. at 2407 Castle Hayne Road.
In a news release Brewer said two women were leaving a sweepstakes parlor when two black males wearing sweat shirts with hoods, bandanas and hats approached them. The two men showed guns and demanded money.
After getting an undisclosed amount of money from the women, the two men left the scene.

2407 Castle Hayne Road is not "in Castle Hayne." The name of the community just west of the airport is Wrightsboro.
