150 mummies coming to Charlotte's Discovery Place

READ MORE:

CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) -- A group of old-timers visiting Charlotte
this fall will come from bogs, crypts and a forgotten crate in a
museum vault.

The Charlotte Observer reported Wednesday that Discovery Place
museum plans to exhibit 150 mummies and related artifacts.

"Mummies of the World" is now on display in Philadelphia as
part of a two-year, seven-museum tour of the U.S. The exhibit will
open in Charlotte on Nov. 11.

Museum president John Mackay says Discovery Place had been
working for two years to get the exhibit, which provides scientists
with information about diseases, diets and lifestyles of ancient
times.

Among the mummies is a Peruvian 6-month-old who died of a heart
defect and pneumonia 6,400 years ago.

Only Mummies?

No Daddies ? Sounds like gender discrimination.
