Shallotte man charged with sexually abusing Cumberland boy

FAYTETTEVILLE, NC (WRAL) -— Detectives said that a 33-year-old man used a game of "Truth and Dare" to lure a 5-year-old Cumberland County boy into a sexual encounter.

Karson Benjamin Warner, of Shallotte, was charged Thursday with taking indecent liberties with a child in connection with the alleged encounter in 2009.

Investigators with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said that Warner dared the child to take off his clothes and run outside naked, then inappropriately touched the boy.

...and make an immediate judgment call....

BTW, if any of you are writing a book on Nineteenth Century whalers marooned at sea going insane from thirst and hunger and having to eat their shipmate, you might consider this guy's photo for the cover.

He likely needs the money to hire a lawyer, anyway.

everybody got a good laugh out of that, very funny. In all seriousness, law enforcement needs to make sure this guy doesn't have any storage sheds/buildings that either he owns or rents. If so, they need to be checked thoroughly. In the popular stories lately, law enforcement has unfortunately overlooked this.
