Judge's defamation claim rejected

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A judge has rejected a Brunswick County judge's defamation claim against a political operative.

Judge Ola Lewis sued Edward Lee Rapp for defamation after he criticized her online for wearing a campaign button for another candidate last year.

Friday the judge who heard the case denied Lewis's motion for summary judgement, but allowed Rapp's motion to end the case. The ruling offers no reason for the decision.

Judge Lewis can appeal.

Ola Lewis

Ola Lewis being a Republican and wearing a button for the opposing candidate could and should get her kicked out of the Republican Party. I think she just joined the Republican Party because she had a fight with Bill Gore and Jack Hooks. Ola Lewis is not a Republican at heart. She just wanted to make headlines and keep the focus on her.

I'm glad Ed Rapp won this round against Ola Lewis. She'd be stupid to appeal this case. She thinks she can win every time, well, Ola how does it feel to lose?

NAACP will be here before long , the race card has not been played yet.
