FIRST ON 3: Fisherman catches shark off Kure Beach
a1.jpg

KURE BEACH, NC (CAROLINA BEACH TODAY) -- This morning at around 6:15am, Mary Davis, who was out for her daily morning walk looking for shark's teeth, came across a lot more than just teeth. This morning she stumbled across an entire shark near the M Ave. beach access.

The blacktip shark had been caught by a fisherman overnight and it appears that it sustained major injury during the catch and evidently, died from those injuries. Typically speaking, most sport shark fisherman in this area practice catch and release.

Mary notified local authorities and the shark was removed from the beach by town personnel.

...... thanks

I SAW THAT SHARK LAST SATURDAY SWIMMING AROUND ,STALKING TWO WOMEN ON FOAM NOODLES IN THE WATER. i THOUGHT FOR SURE THAT I WAS GOING TO SEE MY FIRST SHARK ATTACK BUT THE SHARK JUST KEPT ON SWIMMING AROUND THEM AND SWIMMING BACK AND FORTH.

When I was a young girl, I used to stand on Crystal Pier (now the Oceanic) and watch the sharks swim in and out of all the swimmers. It gives you a great viewpoint from up there. That's what sharks do; they swim in, out, and around people. They're looking for food, yes, but not necessarily the human kind. They're attracted to the fish being caught near the piers, and humans happen to be swimming in the same vicinity.

lordy! people it is just a damm shark!!!

Sounds like you're not afraid to be his next snack. Hope someone warned the 2 ladies floating on the noodles that they were being stalked!!!!

I am not sure I understand your point, did someone claim it was dog? I think everyone is aware it is a shark. Thanks for pointing that out though. By the way it's not DAMM it's DAMN
