Wilmington man charged with breaking into store, stealing skateboard

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- A Wilmington man is in jail charged with breaking into a store on N. 4th Street late Monday night.

Police say Geoffrey Martin Goldston, 32, is charged with breaking and entering and larceny after B&E at Far Out at 620 N. 4th Street.

Police say they got a call around 11 p.m. Monday that someone was breaking into the business. The caller said the man broke out the front window, took a skateboard, and then climbed under the bridge adjacent to the business.

A K-9 team found Goldston hiding next to the bridge under a canopy of vegetation with the skateboard.

Goldston is in custody at the New Hanover County jail under $5,000 bond.
