RALEIGH, NC (AP) -- The heat goes on in North Carolina.
The National Weather Service on Thursday issued heat advisories for 47 of the state's 100 counties.
Forecasters say heat index readings will range from 105 to 110 in parts of the central and eastern parts of North Carolina.
The advisory is in effect from late morning until early evening.
The advisory ranges from the Raleigh-Durham area to Greenville, Jacksonville, Wilmington and the Outer Banks.
