WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) -- A woman is dead and a man hurt after a shooting at a hospital in Whiteville this morning. Law enforcement sources tell WWAY that a domestic dispute involving two men and a woman led to the shooting outside Columbus Regional Healthcare System around 7 a.m.
Elijah Jones turned himself in later. He is charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
District Attorney Jon David says Joan Everette died in the shooting, and that Bobby Ray Shipman was shot several times.
David would not confirm the relationship between the suspect and the victims.

If this man were a Tabor City policeman or a Columbus Co. politician, he most certainly would go free. Without the "right" connections this man is in serious trouble. Only time will prove me right or wrong.
