CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY)-- Carolina Beach town officials report no major damage from Hurricane Irene at this time. There was some flooding late last night as well as wash over on Carolina Beach Avenue North. According to town officials there are trees down and minor damage to some homes on Pleasure Island.
