More time passes with no answers in Pine Valley murder

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- It's been more than two months since a woman was killed in her own home, but still no one has been charged with her murder. Wilmington Police say investigators are still waiting on forensic evidence to come back.

Back in July Carol Ann Johnson's fiance found her body in their Pine Valley home.

Police have not said if they have any leads on suspects.

I have known this wonderful, sweet, loving lady for 30 of my 37 years of life. I cannot understand how there has been no update for 6 months after her brutal murder. I fully understand that the police have more than their hands full, but the murder is obviously a personal vindetta against her. There have been no inquiries to her friends and extended family. She was a fine, upstanding citizen and deserves more than the dismissive blowoff that she has recieved. This was a personal, violent death that she didn't deserve. I just wish that the police would treat this as though this were their sister, mother, or other sweet, kind, trusting person that obviously got involved with the wrong person. Being a trusting person does not mean that you deserve the sick ramifications of a sick, using parasite. Maybe if she had the right surname they would have solved it already. If you are not in the right classification of priority victims, you should watch your back. That is what I have learned. How about you?

Two months to get back evidence???? Could Fed Ex help with this problem? Maybe pick up a phone or two and make a call for status???

Crimes in real life don't get wrapped up into a neat little packages in one hour like they do on television.

The police dont seem to know that two boyfriends are involved in this although the rest of the neighborhood knows. They have released no information so that the public may help them in their efforts. They dont seem to know anything and are just gonna chalk it up as unsolvable. Depressing....

Even more unbelievable is that the neighbors don't go tell the police what they know. What information would the public need to help the police in their efforts? Something wrong, yeah... with the public.
