Move over, Halloween; Christmas decorations up in downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- You may think it's far from Christmastime, but the City of Wilmington apparently disagrees.

Just one day after the spooktacular holiday of Halloween, downtown Wilmington now has a bit of Christmas flair. City crews installed wreaths, which consist of bright red bows and ornaments, on light poles along Front Street.

Some folks like the overlap of holiday cheer.

"I love it in Wilmington," Claire Medeiros said. "They seem to have a lot of holiday spirit, even on Halloween."

Remember, there are just 53 days of shopping left before this Christmas.

I hate the commercialism of the holidays. They push the holiday to make the $$ come out quicker and then hope that you stil shop last minute...
