JACKSONVILLE, NC (AP) -- A pilot at the New River Marine Air Station has been charged with indecent exposure in Jacksonville.
Onslow County sheriff's deputies have charged 37-year-old Maj. Danny Cohlmeyer of Jacksonville is accused of performing a lewd act in front of a woman at a gas station.
The woman told deputies that while she was pumping gas, a man naked from the waist down stepped out of a pickup truck while performing a lewd act.
The man drove off after she told him she was calling deputies. She recorded his license number and he was arrested Sunday night.
Cohlmeyer is an MV-22 Osprey pilot and assistant operations officer for a squadron at New River.
It was unclear if he has an attorney.

In my view of the world, no man of right mind would allow himself to be in the position that this defendant was claimed to be found.
This guy needs some care from the country that he is defending along with the opportunity for a fair trial.
