Carolina Beach Police Chief, Ocean Rescue leader resign

READ MORE:

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- Carolina Beach Police Chief William Younginer announced his retirement today.

The StarNews reports the move comes after allegations of an affair between Younginer and Alicia Lachance, who was in charge of the town's Ocean Rescue program. Lachance resigned today as well. The newspaper said Town Councilman Bob Lewis told it the town investigated the allegations earlier this year but found no evidence. But when we asked Lewis about the allegations, he referred all questions to Town Manager Tim Owens.

When we asked Owens if there was any connection between the resignations and the allegations he could "not get into that." According to Owens Younginer said in an e-mail he is retiring to spend more time with his family.

Mayor Joel Macon says Kurt Bartley will be the interim police chief. The change happens December 1.

DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT

DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT DEPT. POLICY AS TO DATING WITH-IN THE DEPT., BUT HE WAS LEGALLY SEPERATED AND THE WIFE DID SEND THE DEPT. AN E-MAIL CONCERNING THIS MATTER. SOUNDS LIKE REVENGE TO ME.

They found no evidence?

Really? They couldn't find any evidence of him "screwing" around with her? There was enough evidence that Stevie Wonder could see it pile up. She was hired into the department and the chief decided to be her training officer. The two were always together, she was his personal chauffeur. She was quickly promoted through the department and any officers that spoke out about it or her were either repremanded, disciplined or quit/fired.

couldnt happen to a better

I just googled her...

She is kinda cute. You could do a lot worse Bro'.

"The Crazies II"

Geez...
Better test the water. Looks like some of that tainted, Camp Lejeune H2O made its way down here. Almost every little municipality is experiencing a dose of the movie "The Crazies ".
