LEXINGTON, NC (AP) -- More than a dozen Lexington business owners are joining together to provide a Thanksgiving lunch to residents of Davidson County who were affected by last week's tornado.
The Dispatch of Lexington reports that the owners of Shoto Japanese Steakhouse & Seafood and Smallwall Art Gallery are hosting the free holiday lunch for storm victims and their families and friends. The traditional Thanksgiving meal will be provided beginning at noon.
About a dozen businesses are helping to serve the meal.
Restaurant owner Jimmy Huynh said he hopes the Thanksgiving dinner will result in a good turnout of those who were affected by the tornado. People interested in attending are asked to respond to the invitation.
