RALEIGH, NC (AP) -- A Wake County grand jury has indicted former campaign workers and a donor of North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue as part of an investigation into previously undisclosed flights leading up to her 2008 election victory.

Grand jurors handed up indictments Monday in state court against Trawick H. "Buzzy" Stubbs Jr., Peter Reichard and Juleigh Sitton.

The charges come more than a year after Wake County prosecutor Colon Willoughby said he would investigate payments of air travel for the campaign following a State Board of Elections probe of Perdue's campaign committee. The State Board of Elections fined her committee $30,000.

Perdue is seeking re-election in 2012.

A grand jury in February charged a Morganton man over allegations he deceived Perdue's campaign by hiding the source of money used for a flight.

"Buzzy" is a former law partner of her first husband. He has a very active law practice in New Bern. He is an officer of the court; and if anyone should know better it is he.

So will he be disbarred and lose his law license?

Or, will he be temporarily suspended until her Majesty's last official act is to pardon him and allow him to return to the Bar?

No doubt she will skate through this just as Big Mike did when he was interrogated by the State agency which oversees elections.

Gov Perdue has not been good for the state of NC. She should consider resigning.

I met her in person and I didnt like her. It was for the food shelter and she takes credit but she didnt lift a finger to move a box of food or anything. If you want to be a leader then dont be afraid to act normal and get your hands dirty especially if your taking the credit
