WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) -- Funeral arrangements have been set for football great Chester McGlockton, who died earlier this week in California.
Stanford University, where McGlockton was working as an assistant coach, says a visitation and funeral will be held for the four-time NFL Pro Bowler at a Glad Tidings Church of God and Christ in Hayward, CA, Monday morning. His body will then be flown back to his native North Carolina.
A memorial service is set for Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the auditorium of his alma mater Whiteville High School. Overflow will be in the gymnasium.
The 42-year-old McGlockton died of an apparent heart attack.

It is so unfortunate that Chester died so young. My thoughts are with his wife, mother and other family members. He certainly was a fine young man and a brilliant athlete. GOD please rest his soul.
