VOTE 2012: Congressman McIntyre open to running for governor

READ MORE:

WASHINGTON, DC (NEWS RELEASE) -- U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre released the following statement today,

“Governor Beverly Perdue has been a dedicated and determined North Carolina public servant. She has always done her best to put North Carolina first, she has been a true champion for our state’s educational system and a fighter for ensuring that our kids get a world-class education. Dee and I wish her and her family the best!

“My heart and passion are in public service and going to work each and every day to build consensus and move North Carolina forward.

“The ideals and issues that make our state and nation great do not belong to either political party. I love North Carolina; I love serving its people; and I am always open to considering broader opportunities to serve, including the possibility of Governor.”

Why should Mac restrict his

Why should Mac restrict his vote buying strategy to just a portion of NC when he can implement it state wide. Maybe there are parts of NC untouched by useless pork projects.

McIntyre running for Governor?

McIntyre needs to find someway to stay on the public dole - he will surely lose his Congressional seat in November.

We don't need a career politician...

North Carolina's next governor should be a non-partisan political newcomer. It's time for the people to take back the power. Career politicians are all self-serving milquetoast, able to be bought by the highest bidder.

Honestly... I would like to

Honestly... I would like to see someone NEW!! NOT the same people running over and over again! Dont want either of them.

Please don't run for

Please don't run for governor. They may be no one to stop that loon Pantano from actually winning an election.

What?

hey Mike; don't let anything but fear of the Lord and lack of strength stop you.

Go for it Mike!

Go for it Mike McIntyre!
Mike McIntyre 2012!

Why would he want to run for Governor?

It seems to me that he has done more for NC than a governor ever could.

Poor old Bev Perdue did what she could in a failing economy and got nothing but grief from people who thought they could do better- or at least get elected by complaining about her.

So now we have a bunch of people clamoring to get on the bandwagon.

It is kind of like what we had down here in Wilmington. I voted in the council race for (anybody but the above.) Look what we got!
