CFCC offers short sessions for students who couldn't get classes

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Good news for students who missed the opportunity to register for classes at Cape Fear Community College. CFCC is offering two special mini-sessions for this spring semester.

The courses are compressed into a shorter time frame, but still cover the same material and offer a full semester of college credit. CFCC decided to offer the mini-session after noticing many students were not able to get into the classes they wanted.

"Since this is a shorter amount of time, we're hoping to increase access to these college classes to people that are busy with work, with family, with other obligations so they can finish their degree on time," CFCC spokesman David Hardin said.

Registration is currently open for the mini-sessions. The ten-week session starts February 17. An eight-week session starts March 2.
