WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Discussions continue on how businesses in downtown Wilmington can use their windows for signage. Another public meeting is scheduled Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
City staff will be there to explain an amendment to the city's sign ordinance as far as window signs in the Central Business District. The proposal was developed with input from an online survey and a public meeting last month.
City council hopes to approve a final plan by may.
You can view the proposed amendment at http://www.wilmingtonnc.gov/windowsigns. There's also visual examples of what a window with 50 percent coverage (as proposed) looks like.
