Justice won't run for any office this year

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) -- We already knew state Rep. Carolyn Justice would not seek another term in the state house. Now she says she will not run for any office in 2012.

Justice, who has spent ten years as the District 16 representative, says she feels others need the chance to fill her seat. The Republican from Hampstead says she will take a few years off and may run again if she feels fit.

"It's been great," Justice said. "It's been very rewarding. I'm lucky. I've been very successful with the help of a lot of people. I think I did a lot of good things, a lot of good things left to do, but I believe it's always time for new blood."

Justice says she plans to stay very involved in politics and help campaign for Chris Millis, who is running for her seat.

Any true Christian and

Any true Christian and ethical person would want no part of today's Repubilcan party. I commend CJ for getting out while the getting is good.

What a bunch of of unAmerican idiots the GOP has become. The Republicans should rename themselves the party of insults and illmannered lowbrows?

Enough is Enough

Carolyn Justice has been a very good member of the NC House. It is obvious she is a kind, loving, caring conservative that respects deeply her district and her state. I guess with her credentials, she realizes that in today's Republican Party there is no place for her. She is a fine person that won't lower herself to today's spiteful, mean political standards. Enjoy your well earned retirement and Thank You for your service!!
