P.F. Chang's coming to Wilmington?

WILMINGTON, NC (GREATER WILMINGTON BUSINESS JOURNAL) -- A popular national Asian fusion restaurant chain may make an appearance in the Port City.

Officials with Scottsdale, Ariz.-based P.F. Chang’s confirmed Wednesday that the company is “evaluating” the Wilmington market, but the restaurant chain has not “identified a specific site at this time,” according to P.F. Chang’s spokeswoman Allison Bradley.

Bradley would not confirm whether Wilmington is being considered for a future P.F. Chang’s or a Pei Wei restaurant.

Sad as I am to say, PF Changs / Pei Wei is not planning on opening her in Wilmington any time soon. I asked the question on their facebook page, and they said: "....right now neither Pei Wei or P.F. Chang's are planning to open in Wilmington, NC." This is as of September 6th, 2012. Too bad.
