McIntyre builds warchest as Republicans battle in primary

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-7th District) has passed the $1 million mark as he raises money for his reelection bid. Meanwhile his leading Republican challengers lag well behind in the money race.

McIntyre, who does not have a primary challenge, has $778,985.32 cash on hand after raising more than $160,000 in the first quarter of 2012.

On the Republican side, Ilario Pantano outraised David Rouzer in the first quarter. Pantano brought in more than $129,000 compared to more than $89,000 for Rouzer, including about $6,200 from Rouzer himself. Pantano has raised about $5,000 more than Rouzer for the entire election cycle, but Rouzer has about $100,000 more cash on hand, despite outspending his rival by about $60,000 in the first quarter.

One Stop Voting starts Thursday across the state. Election Day is May 8.

McIntyre beats both of these guys...

without much effort. He wins even with a newly drawn district.

Maybe Rouzer should stop

Maybe Rouzer should stop lobbying bills that hurt the country. Check his record, has he had a non-public sector or lobbying job since he left college. If he has, it has not been long. If you want more of the same, Rouzer fits the mold

Pantano debts

Does this mean Pantano is going to pay off all of his debts? Or just continue to spend more than he has and leaving others to hold the bag? Conservative values, huh?! Maybe he should decide to work for a change rather than be a full-time candidate.
